Enabling the UAE’s pioneering role in developing life support systems that would make it possible to live on other planets, and to develop capabilities to gather more information about the surfaces of these planets

Mars Science City

Mars Science aims to establish a scientific city that will act as a stepping stone to our future endeavours in space.
Using state-of-the-art technology, MSC will comprise a number of labs that support these endeavours, along with engaging programmes that raise awareness and enrich public knowledge of the importance of developing space knowledge and capabilities in our region.

UAE Analog Mission

Analog missions are field tests that are done in a facility that shares alike physical similarities with a specific space exploration mission. Analog missions are a chance to test several scenarios that could take place in space, and generate a solution manual to future space missions.
UAE Analog Mission#1 is a mission that tests the effects of isolation and confinement on the human health and the success of space missions. CrewONE will be the first Emirati analog mission that will select the first Emirati analog crew member.
The mission is in collaboration with various international agencies including the Biomedical Problems (IBMP) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA.
For future explorations, whether be it to Mars or any other mission, crew members will spend long durations in a specific area or even a spacecraft. Knowing what happens to the body, both physiologically and psychologically, allow us to better prepare for our future missions.
