Data provided by UAE-owned satellites is valued as important references for major development projects, locally and internationally. MBRSC builds partnerships with government entities concerned with planning, environment and development programmes, providing them with high-quality satellite images captured by the centre's satellites, as well as detailed scientific reports and analysis of those images. The satellite image analysis reports provided by the Centre are divided into three types:

MBRSC offers its satellite image analysis service to all government entities, local companies and international institutions. This service is carried out by a team of experts using the latest software and multiple advanced applications, allowing expert analysis of the vast amount of data a single satellite image can reveal. This service is designed to meet the needs of all types of projects, and can be tailored to match the specific requirements of a variety of projects

KhalifaSat

KhalifaSat is one of the world’s most technologically advanced remote sensing observation satellites – and the first 100% designed and manufactured in the United Arab Emirates. It was launched into low Earth orbit (Approximately 613 km in altitude) in October 2018, beginning a 5-year mission to capture and transmit high-quality detailed images of Earth to the MBRSC in Dubai.

DUBAI SAT-2

Design and manufacture of DubaiSat-2 began immediately following the launch of DubaiSat-1, this time with a predominantly Emirati team of engineers working alongside their South Korean associates at MBRSC’s Korean satellite manufacturing partner, Satrec Initiative. The advanced observation satellite was launched from Russia in November 2013, becoming the UAE’s second satellite in orbit.
