The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) today announced the opening of registrations for the 2025 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Programme, an initiative aimed at fostering the next generation of Emirati space science professionals. The eight-week summer programme, running from June to August 2025, offers Emirati undergraduate students in STEM fields the opportunity to engage in research alongside leading experts in space science and engineering.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) today announced the successful launch of its first Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite, Etihad-SAT. The satellite launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA, aboard a Falcon 9 rocket at 10:43 AM (UAE time). The team at the ground station in Dubai subsequently confirmed receiving the first signal from the satellite at 12:04 PM (UAE time).

A digital twin is a virtual model or replica of a real-world object, system, or process, which can help entities test real-life situations and predict outcomes to make smarter decisions.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre today announced the successful launch of MBZ-SAT, the most advanced satellite in the region, named in honour of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The launch was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Mission Control Centre at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
MBRSC recently awarded certificates to the students and mentors who participated in the 2024 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Programme, a key initiative by the Centre designed to strengthen the research skills of young Emirati students during a special ceremony held at the Centre.
