Dubai – UAE, October 14, 2024: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) is showcasing its latest innovations in geospatial and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies at GITEX GLOBAL 2024 being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 14-18 October 2024.

During the 5-day event, MBRSC will share with visitors’ information and updates about the Centre’s advanced Earth observation capabilities, remote sensing solutions, and cutting-edge AI-driven applications that are providing critical tools for sectors such as the environment, urban planning, and disaster management.

One of the key attractions at the exhibition is the latest MBRSC Geo Analytics Platform, which can deliver real-time data and predictive insights across various domains. The platform is demonstrating MBRSC’s technical expertise, featuring dashboards that monitor earthquakes for disaster preparedness, offer disaster response tools for emergency services, and visualise land cover and land use for urban planning and sustainable development. The platform can also track land and sea surface temperatures to study climate patterns, predicting fog to enhance transportation safety, and forecasting wind directions to support renewable energy and meteorological efforts. Furthermore, it can also monitor coastline changes to manage erosion risks, tracking vegetation health for agricultural productivity, and utilising AI-driven object detection to assist with urban development and infrastructure monitoring.

Through the advanced tools, MBRSC is illustrating its ability to deliver comprehensive, customised solutions by integrating remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and AI technologies. The platform exemplifies MBRSC’s ongoing commitment to generating impactful, data-driven insights that empower decision-makers across various industries to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

H.E. Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General, MBRSC, said, “Innovation is the driving force behind the UAE’s space sector, and it is essential that we continually push the boundaries of what’s possible. We are continuously pioneering new, cutting-edge solutions and services that harness space technology. By leveraging space-based data to enhance sustainability, disaster management, and urban planning, we are laying the groundwork for a future where space technology is an integral part of global progress.”

As we continue pushing the boundaries of space science and technology, our participation at GITEX underscores the critical role of data-driven solutions in addressing global challenges. The updated Geo Analytics Platform showcases how MBRSC remains at the forefront of technological innovation, empowering industries to make informed decisions that contribute to a more sustainable future.”
